Photographer,  Artist and Surface Pattern Designer

Living in ColorMy creative journey started with photography.  When I had my first DSLR I began to see nature & color through my camera lens.  My favorite subjects are flowers, birds & butterflies all of which feature a lot in my artwork. I am also an illustrator & pattern designer. I create patterns for use in fashion clothing, accessories and around the home in soft furnishings, table linen and more.

In addition I design photographic and hand embellished greeting cards and gift wrap. Many of my creations start with a photograph, some are manipulated, re-colored and layered to produce new images.  Other designs are digitally painted on my ipad or computer.

I am a mathematician by education and had a short career in banking.  I always had a keen interest in fashion design & learnt to sew in my teens.  In the late 1980's I moved to London(UK) & started a  fashion business "Bellezza" designing bespoke ladies' evening wear & children's fashion clothing. Inspiration for the garments always came from richly colored prints & luxurious fabrics.   I prefer to work with natural fabrics particularly cotton & silk.

I have been creating patterns for the past 12+ years.

"I am inspired by color & all that is beautiful.

Photography is how I capture the beauty that surrounds us.

In the digital darkroom is where I express myself."
